The STEAM Lab is a unique, dedicated space on campus where Franklin students can tinker, create, make and learn across STEAM disciplines in a comfortable, collaborative environment.

Students spend time in the STEAM Lab throughout the year, as teachers book the space to work through various grade-appropriate projects. The STEAM Lab features two 3D printers, and is stocked with everything young innovators and inventors, scientists and scholars, might need to create truly inspiring hands-on projects. Lego We Do kits, Celestron microscopes and Snap Circuit electronics kits are just a few of the items you can find on the STEAM Lab shelves. There are also everyday items like popsicle sticks, craft pom poms and foam balls so kids have the freedom to create using imaginative design solutions. The lab additionally offers various research books across age levels, so young readers can consult outside materials for ideas and inspiration without heading back to the classroom or needing to visit the school library.

The STEAM Lab is also where many of our parent meetings and events are held, from Family Thursday and Winter Program Pizza Dinners, to our PTA and ELAC meetings.

This versatile, bright space is one of our students' favorite places on campus.
